Out of passion, for love for their animals.

They love this breed and their region and they express it actively upon registering their cattle in the Herd Book of the Aubrac breed.

In doing so, they can sell, and participate in contests. This was true especially at the end of the eighties and until the mid nineties, when the enthusiasm for the breed was widespread and many cattle raisers looked in vain for registered purebred cattle.

They also become members out of a desire for recognition and esteem from other cattle raisers.

- The motivations are far from being purely or principally economic.
Interests:

To certify the origin of cattle born (confirmed when the UNION AUBRAC sends to the registered cattle raiser the Provisional Registration Certificates and the Definitive Registration Certificates for its animals), which allows them to sell the cattle more easily as reproducers, with a value added that is generally greater than that from its sale as beef.

But it must not be forgotten that the economic value is not recovered in the first year. It is not until after 4 or 5 years or more of membership in the UNION AUBRAC that the cattle raiser really earns money from the registration of its animals. Membership in the UNION AUBRAC must be considered an investment at the beginning.
